Sometimes public policy makers don’t see success, even as it stares them in the face.

Case in point: the Executive Council’s questioning whether to reappoint Taylor Caswell as Commissioner of the Department of Business and Economic Affairs (BEA) makes no sense. BEA oversees economic development, business recruitment, promotion of tourism and workforce development issues in our state.
