To the editor:A few weeks ago our apple tree was sadly destroyed by a thoughtless individual or individuals. But to our surprise, when arriving at school today, Wednesday, June 5, Ed Fayle, a teacher at Kennett High School, and his first block class were planting a new Macintosh apple tree. The children of our day school were so excited they stayed glued to the window until Mr. Fayle and the students were finished. This act of kindness means the world to all of us.
