To the editor:While our three millionaire Republican candidates for governor are busy trying to duck the school funding crisis by making it go away with a constitutional amendment or "solving it" by "cutting state programs" which are never named, only Mark Fernald has come up with a specific plan that raises money fairly based on the ability to pay. His plan will reduce the property tax which is unfair to those of us who are not millionaires and eliminate the business enterprise tax which is not fair for those conducting small businesses. Mark is well informed on the issues and can present his plan clearly. He has demonstrated the political courage necessary to tackle tough issues and has the leadership ability to get the job done. New Hampshire needs Mark Fernald as Governor to solve the education funding crisis fairly.
