Two men have been arrested on felony charges of selling drugs following an undercover operation between N.H. state police narcotics investigation unit and Wakefield Police Department.Ronald Gould, 21, allegedly sold the animal tranquilizer Ketamine to an undercover officer sometime in early July and was arrested on July 30, according to Lt. Kenneth Fifield of Wakefield Police Department. Robert Brown III, 25, was also arrested on July 30 on a charge of selling marijuana to that same investigator. Although the two men did know each other, the incidents leading to their arrests were separate and independent, Fifield said. To avoid the risk of cutting off other potential leads, police chose not to release any information pertaining to the arrests until Aug. 29. The investigation has yielded these two people and gathered quite a bit of useful information regarding drug use in the Wakefield area, Fifield commented. The operation began, he said, when Wakefield Police Department received intelligence about potential drug providers in town. Over time, the undercover officer gained a rapport with individuals who would later attempt to sell drugs to him, Fifield explained. Brown and Gould both are both scheduled to be arraigned on the felony charges in Southern Carroll County District Court next week.
