Tamworth gears up for its 250th year

TAMWORTH — October is an important month to the town of Tamworth, which marked the 249th anniversary of its founding last week.

On Sunday, the Tamworth 250th Celebration Steering Committee held a kickoff event at the Doctor Remick Farm and Museum to start organizing the 12 months ahead, leading up to the big 250th on Oct. 14, 2016.
