A Massachusetts man was hospitalized after he was knocked from his motorcycle on Allard Hill Road Monday afternoon.Rescuers tended to James Hanides, 47, of Haverhill, Mass., as he lay on the roadway at 3:40 p.m. Monday, moments after his red 2002 Harley Davidson pulled out in front of a Jeep near the Conway line.Hanides was taken to Memorial Hospital by Conway Fire and Rescue and remained a patient there Tuesday afternoon, according to hospital staff. His status was not released.Police said the driver of the Jeep, Darlene Noyes, 34, of Allard Hill Road in Madison, was uninjured.Hanides had been visiting friends at a condominium at 75 Allard HIll Road where the crash took place, police said. He apparently never saw the Jeep coming north, down the hill toward Conway, as he pulled from the condo lot into the street. "Obviously he never saw her," Madison Police Chief John Pickering said. The accident remained under investigation Tuesday. Automobiles and emergency vehicles lined both shoulders and continued to back up as rescuers treated Hanides. Madison Police, Madison Fire and Rescue, Medstar and Conway Fire and Rescue responded Monday.
