CAMPTON — Celebrating the Fourth of July holiday outdoors is a national tradition, and with an anticipated record number of visitors throughout the holiday weekend, staff of the the White Mountain National Forest are reminding people to leave fireworks and sparkly displays to professional organizations.

Nationally, nearly nine out of 10 wildfires are caused by humans.  Remember, fireworks and pyrotechnics are prohibited on public lands — every forest, every campsite and every day.
