A gust of at least 40 mph blew this large pine onto power lines next to Fryeburg Academy's performing arts center on Bradley Street on Tuesday shortly before 5 p.m. (KAREN CUMMINGS PHOTO)

FRYEBURG, Maine — Power was knocked out for more than three hours Tuesday on Bradley Street after high winds blew a pine onto a three-phase powerline next to the Leura Hill Eastman Performing Arts Center at Fryeburg Academy.

Power was restored by Central Maine Power crews by 8 p.m, according to Fryeburg Fire Chief Andrew Dufresne and Fryeburg Police Lt. George Walker.
