CONWAY — George Walker knew ever since he was in the eighth grade at the C.A. Snow School in Fryeburg, Maine, that he wanted to be a police officer. Now, after almost 25 years, the lieutenant with Conway Police is ready for the next chapter of his life.

Walker, 46, announced Tuesday on Facebook that he will retire June 1 from Conway PD.
