BROWNFIELD, Maine — There is nothing glamorous about picking up litter, but it is both necessary and rewarding.

Valley Pride Day has been a community Litter Clean up event in the Western Maine and Greater Mount Washington Valley area for 19 years, and the effort picks up speed more and more with each passing year.
