CONWAY — Despite wet weather, volunteers turned out in force for the 26th annual Valley Cleanup Day, hauling in one of the largest amounts of roadside trash in recent years, according to lead organizer Steve Angers.
Participants from communities across the greater Mount Washington Valley spent Saturday morning collecting litter along local roads, with supplies distributed between 8:30-10 a.m. on Saturday morning. Cleanup efforts continued through noon, followed by a barbecue lunch and live music at the Hampton Inn in North Conway.
