TAMWORTH — The Tamworth Village Association, which recently completed costly repairs to the village's septic system, says the town ought to take over managing the system.

Last year, District 1 Executive Councilor Joe Kenney (R-Wakefield) announced the governor and Executive Council had voted unanimously to award $350,000 under the Community Development Block Grant program for emergency repairs to Tamworth's wastewater treatment system which had four leach fields that were failing. The work was completed last fall.
