CONWAY — Selectmen say it’s time to look at extending the North-South Road to help mitigate traffic in North Conway. On Tuesday, the board voted 3-0 to direct town staff to identify potential routes. Selectmen Carl Thibodeau and Victoria Blake were absent. Chair Steve Porter and fellow selectmen Peter Donohoe and Ryan Shepard discussed and voted on the proposal.

Donohoe, who lives on Kearsarge Road, has long said that traffic in Kearsarge is excessive, but said Tuesday that he is not supporting the proposal simply to relieve congestion on his road.
