CONWAY — Selectmen on Tuesday said they want to make sure Conway Village gets more holiday decorations next year or in the near future. They say Conway Village looks relatively uninspired compared with lit-up North Conway.

The discussion began when Town Manager Tom Holmes talked about the lights on the Christmas tree in Schouler Park. He said that the town is taking more responsibility for getting the North Conway Christmas tree lit. He said in the past volunteer efforts have led to lights getting left up too long and then ending up broken when the wind blows.
