FRYEBURG, Maine — An article calling for the construction of a new municipal complex was finally approved at the polls Tuesday in Fryeburg after a previous attempt by the town to sell the idea to residents failed to gain traction from voters.

Article 2 requested an $8.5 million bond to build a new municipal complex to house the town office, fire department, and police department. The vote was 1,045 in favor to 962 against, meaning the article passed.
