JACKSON — More than 300 people gathered last Saturday morning to voice their support for better gun control measures and calling for an end to gun violence in a local March for Our Lives.

The event was in response to the Feb. 14 slayings of 17 people by a gunman at the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School School in Parkland, Fla.
