MADISON — Madison selectmen have announced that the town's director of the public works department, Josh Shackford, has resigned and that a company called Municipal Resources Inc. will be handling an investigation into reports of employees utilizing town property.
At the Feb. 3 selectmen's meeting, during public comment, selectmen's chair Adam Price fielded a question from a local citizen about why recently released minutes from a non-public session had called for the compensation of an "acting" department of public works director.
