JACKSON — The state Department of Transportation has scheduled work to repair the Honeymoon Covered Bridge in Jackson, beginning Monday, Aug. 27. The work is expected to take three weeks to complete.

The Honeymoon Bridge, which carries traffic from Route 16A over the Ellis River, was damaged for the second time this summer after a fully loaded Alvin J. Coleman & Son cement truck struck the west end on July 23, damaging four overhead cross pieces and the western facade of the bridge.
