There’s a sign at the bottom of the Tuckerman Ravine Trail in Pinkham Notch that lists the current avalanche danger levels. Use that information as a starting point if you are headed elsewhere in the mountains.

Remember that there’s no such thing as "no avalanche danger" if there’s snow or ice around.
