Attorney Jim Cowles asks questions of Wolfeboro Police Officer Michael Strauch last week during the animal cruelty case of Christina Fay (seen at left). On Tuesday, Cowles asked Judge Charles Greenhalgh to throw out Strauch's search warrant. (DAYMOND STEER PHOTO)

OSSIPEE — Attorneys for Christina Fay, the woman accused of mistreating about 84 Great Danes, want a search warrant allowing access to her home tossed because Wolfeboro police had the Humane Society of the United States assist in the raid but didn't mention that in the warrant.

Prosecutors say it was "common sense" to have the HSUS help out.
