JACKSON — Under cloudy skies and with a threat of rain that never materialized, well over 120 people attended the formal dedication of the Jackson Fire Station at 10 a.m. last Saturday. Construction of the 10,000-square-foot purpose-built facility came in on-time and under budget, and is designed to serve the community well into the distant future.

After enjoying refreshments donated by local establishments, the ceremony began with a moment of silence followed by the playing of bagpipes by Chris Wyman, who is retired from the N.H. Fire Marshal’s Office and is currently a firefighter in Merrimack.
