FRYEBURG, Maine — Public comment on a proposed rail trail from Fryeburg to Hiram is being sought by by the Maine Department of Transportation through June 22.
The proposal is to turn 10 miles of inactive Mountain Division Rail Corridor between Fryeburg and Hiram into a trail. The corridor is 31 miles and runs from Fryeburg to Standish. The ends of the 10-mile trail would be at Mountain Road in Hiram and the trail head in Fryeburg on Route 113.
