CONWAY — Selectmen on Tuesday declared their experimental amnesty day at the transfer station a success.

Held on Saturday in conjunction with Valley Pride Day, which also went well according to organizers, amnesty day allowed residents of Albany, Eaton and Conway to dispose of a limited number of items for which a fee is normally charged at no cost. Those items include electronics, appliances, upholstered furniture and tires.
