CONWAY — “The bottom line is we want to see kids in school,” Mike DiGregorio of the Conway School Boards said Aug. 11 when he and his colleagues approved the first reading of an Attendance, Absenteeism and Truancy policy. The revisions take a harder line on absenteeism.

The five-page policy, which was first adopted Nov. 8, 2010, revised Oct. 16, 2013, and reviewed with no changes on June 1, 2020, was approved in a 4-2 vote with Megan Beckwith, DiGregorio, Joe Mosca and Matt Stearns in the majority while Randy Davison and Brittany Hodge opposed it.
