TAMWORTH — A hopeful for Tamworth School Board abruptly quit her campaign after being impressed by her competitors at Monday night's candidate forum, where heady topics like the tuition contract and converting school district meeting to ballot voting with SB 2 were discussed.

At the outset of the Chocorua Community Association's 115th annual candidates forum, moderated by George Cleveland, there were four candidates running for two three-year seats. About 35 people attended.
