CONWAY — Selectmen decided to give the town police department $24,000 in American Rescue Plan Act funds for the purpose buying a drone, which would be used for manhunts, searches and accident reconstruction, the police chief said.
The town received about $1 million in ARPA funds in two installments of $536,000 in 2021 and 2022. Signed into law by President Joe Biden in March of 2021, the $1.9 trillion rescue plan is meant to help communities and businesses get past the COVID-19 pandemic and its economic fallout.Â
