LANCASTER — Facing five charges of criminal threatening with a deadly weapon following an hourlong standoff with police on Berlin’s lower Main Street last Saturday, Patrick D. Dube will remain in the county jail as his attorney seeks a competency hearing for his client.

The incident unfolded at 97 Main St., an apartment building, when Dube allegedly pointed a black BB gun at two neighbors and three police officers the afternoon of Sept. 9.
