A reader noted that a story in Saturday's Conway Daily Sun about former 1972 valley Olympian Tyler Palmer mistakenly stated the location of Palmer's 1971 Lauberhorn win in Switzerland, one of his two World Cup wins that season. The Lauberhorn is held near Wengen, not St. Moritz. Along with his younger brother Terry and Madison resident David Currier, the Kearsarge resident raced for the U.S. Ski Team from 1969 to 1972. He went on to race on the World Pro Ski Tour, retiring in 1980. The New England Ski Museum presented its “Spirit of Skiing Award” to Palmer at the Attitash Grand Summit Hotel and Conference Center Nov. 2.
