Connifey indicted on nearly two dozen charges

OSSIPEE — Former Bartlett Police Chief Tim Connifey was indicted recently on nearly two dozen charges, including perjury, witness tampering, false swearing and official oppression for allegedly attempting to cover up a romantic relationship he had with a woman he met while investigating a car accident.

The indictments were handed down by a Carroll County grand jury on Feb. 19. Assistant Attorney General Lisa Wolford was the prosecutor. Ten indictments were for perjury, 10 for false swearing, one for witness tampering and one for official oppression.
