Several Conway residents as well as residents from Glen, Intervale, Chatham and Madison were among those indicted this month by a Carroll County grand jury. Christopher Fisher, 23, of North Conway is charged with burglary, according to the indictment. On July 24, 2001, he allegedly entered Webster's Country Store in Conway and was unauthorized to do so. The charge is a Class B felony, which carries a sentence of 3 1/2 to 7 years in state prison.Joel Gaudette, 28, of North Conway is charged with attempting to obtain a controlled drug by misrepresentation, according to the indictment. On Dec. 18, 2001, he allegedly tried to obtain Percocet from Dr. David Strang at Huggins Hospital in Wolfeboro by misrepresenting his medical history.The charge is a Class B felony. If found guilty, he faces a sentence of 3 1/2 to 7 years in state prison and a $25,000 fine.Joseph Kiesman, 41, of East Conway is charged with reckless conduct and criminal threatening, according to the indictment. On May 19, he allegedly tried to force a woman off the road using a pickup truck, and threatened her with an ax.Each charge is a Class B felony, carrying a sentence of 3 1/2 to 7 years in state prison.Kiel Mellody, 17, of Center Conway is charged with criminal liability for conduct of another. On June 9, according to the indictment, he allegedly aided "another person in committing the offense of operating a motor vehicle with a firearm he knew to be stolen inside the passengers area." The charge is a Class A felony, which carries a sentence of 7 1/2 to 15 years in state prison.Robin L. Drew, 29, of Glen is charged with theft by unauthorized taking. Between June 1, 2001 and February 11, 2002, according to the indictment, she allegedly took more than $1,000 from the Seasons Condominium Resort in Bartlett. The charge is a Class A felony, carrying a sentence 7 1/2 to 15 years in state prison.Edwin Flagg, 18, of Intervale is charged with burglary. On My 7, 2001, according to the indictment, he allegedly entered Cannell's Country Store in North Conway and was unauthorized to do so.The charge is a Class B felony, which carries a sentence of 3 1/2 to 7 years in state prison.Jeffrey Jacques, 18, of Madison is charged with receiving stolen property. On June 9, according to the indictment, he allegedly took possession of a .45 caliber assault rifle valued at more than $1,000, knowing it had been stolen.The charge is a Class A felony, which carries a sentence of 7 1/2 to 15 years in state prison. Katherine Pond, 38, of Chatham is charged with driving after having been declared an habitual offender, a felony. On June 11, according to the indictment, she allegedly operated a motor vehicle on Route 16 in Ossipee, knowing her status as an habitual offender was still in effect after being convicted of driving while intoxicated in 1990. Eli Sawyer, 21, of Porter, Maine is charged with robbery. On Feb. 21, according to the indictment, he allegedly tried to steal food from Shaw's supermarket in Conway, shoving a man in the process.The charge is a Class B felony, which carries a sentence of 3 1/2 to 7 years in state prison.
