TAMWORTH  As the Dec. 31 deadline approaches for residents to vacate the Chocorua Woods apartments, tenants say they are running out of time and options — and fear becoming homeless in the middle of winter.

A  tenant who spoke to the Sun is among roughly a dozen residents still remaining in the 15-unit complex. The contract between Sonata Housing, the property owner and  the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development is terminating.

I'm sorry for everyone that still lives there. I'm not surprised Carol hasn't responded. I lived there for a little over a year and received nothing but harassed and al discriminated against. The water made me very Ill and found out that the water was not too be used to drink with. The building was very old and she didn't want to do anything to help the issues. I hope everyone finds a place to go because if she can ruin your life, she will.
