OSSIPEE — On Friday, a YouTube star pleaded guilty to hitting a Bartlett police officer with his Jeep and was sentenced to four to 10 years in prison during a hearing in Carroll County Superior Court.

The indictments against Erik Conover, 36, of New York City, stem from a series of incidents on March 15 that took place after Bartlett Patrol Officer Cameron Emmett attempted to pull Conover over for speeding. After Emmett pulled his cruiser directly in front of Conover’s Jeep, Conover backed up and then accelerated, shoving the officer at least 30 feet, according to County Attorney Keith Blair. Emmett has since returned to duty.
