CONWAY – Thirty-four people attended a special Affordable Care Act sign-up day hosted by White Mountain Community Health Center on March 22.

The enrollment event, which was held on a Saturday, was a joint effort between the health center, ServiceLink and Memorial Hospital. The enrollment day was scheduled in advance of the ACA's March 31 enrollment deadline. The Obama Administration recently said it would give people until mid April to ask for an extension. A person who doesn't have health coverage in 2014 would face a fine of 1 percent of his household income or $95 per adult and $47.50 per child whichever is greater.
