Although the calendars have marked the beginning of summer by the passing of the solstice, the Madison DPW has declared the season in the best way known to town. The installation of the swim lines and docks at the town beaches.

This is a bit of a relief to some parents, as the kids have left school, and are on the prowl to find things to keep their idle hands busy. Even though the temperature — both air and water — may leave the excited youth with blue lips and chattering teeth, we are all reassured that the weather will turn around at some point.
