The 42nd annual Arts and Artisan Fair will take place on Saturday, Aug. 19, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Charlotte Hobbs Memorial Library.

This is the biggest benefit for the library. Those artisans taking part have been juried to assure the quality of theirs wares. The Charlotte Hobbs Library Fair has been deemed one of the best in the state of Maine. You can shop until you drop or shop, take in the book sale, pick up a snack or lunch and then shop again. This is an all-day affair. Don't forget to pick up a raffle ticket for one of the prizes donated by 10 of the vendors which are Sandra Bell, painting; Beth Nagle Griffin, necklace and earrings; Mark Guido, Rock beverage dispenser; Pamala Hitchcock, earrings; Ken Kanto, jewelry (Arbor Vitae Pendant); Boyd Johnson, jewelry; Starr Moore, quilted table runner; Gwen Nagel, painting (landscape); Sue Sidwell, Print (butterfly); Nancey Shaul, pottery.
