The Met Opera Live in HD will be presenting the rarely performed "Verdi gem, Luisa Miller," a heart-wrenching tragedy of fatherly love on Saturday, April 14, at 12:30 p.m. at the Leura Hill Eastman Performing Arts Center in Fryeburg, Maine.
Sonya Yoncheva sings the title role in the first Met performances of the opera in more than 10 years. The estimated run time is 3 hours, 40 minutes. There will not be a catered lunch before the opera, but they will have coffee and light snacks available during intermission. Joe De Vito will be hosting his opera lecture series on Thursday, April 12, at 3 p.m. The lobby and box office will be open at 11:30 a.m. Seating will begin at noon. Tickets are $26 for adults, $23 for seniors and $18 for students.
