Fryeburg Town Column: Fryeburg New Church to host spring gardening event May 19

A spring gardening event will be held at Fryeburg New Church on Oxford Street on Saturday, May 19, from 8 a.m. to noon. It’s time to dress up your gardens and this is a great place to purchase some of the beautiful plants you’ll need to do just that. Many of the plants come from local gardens, so you can be sure they’ll be happy in yours. If you’d like to donate plants you can drop them at the church on Friday, May 18, between 4 to 7 p.m. You can also call Donnette at (207) 935-2130 to arrange pick up or if you have any questions.

The 18th annual Home and Garden Show takes place this weekend at the Fryeburg Fairgrounds with great exhibitors, garden centers, and awesome fair food. Once again, you will be able to experience live demonstrations during the famous “Meet the Chefs” cooking series. This year’s theme will focus on International Cuisine. During the cooking series, guests can attend a live presentation by a local chef and walk away with a great stash of recipes that are bound to wow your friends and family.
