Freedom Town Column: Old Home Week set for Aug. 2-11

Freedom Old Home Week, our favorite week, is Friday, Aug. 2, to Sunday, Aug. 11. There’s just so much fun coming up. Be sure to peruse all of the events and choose what you would like to do or do them all. Check out the full schedule of events at freedomoldhomeweek.net/schedule. Also, be sure to give a thank you to those running events that bring family and friends together and help to make this such a special week in Freedom. It takes a lot of work to make this happen so take a moment to show your appreciation.

Don’t forget the South Eaton Meeting House annual fair on Saturday, Aug. 3, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., food, crafts and raffles. Not to be missed. When you’re done there, take a little break, then head over to the Pig Roast at the ball field. The menu includes roast pig, smoked turkey, sides and strawberry shortcake. Tickets are $25 for adults or $12 for ages 12-16 and those under 12 are free. Live entertainment. Proceeds benefit End 68 Hours of Hunger.
