CONWAY — Green Mountain Conservation Group to host a Groundwater Education through Water Evaluation and Testing (GET WET) workshop at the Conway Public Library led by Education Coordinator Tara Schroeder and Education and Outreach Assistant AmeriCorps Member Haley Parent on Saturday, June 1, from 1 to 3 p.m.
Participants can bring in a sample of their home well water and test it for six parameters, including: chloride; conductivity; hardness; nitrates/nitrites; pH; and iron. Learn about common contaminants, health concerns, where to go for more information, and sign up to be a volunteer to bring this important program to schools in your community. For more information, contact education@gmcg.org or (603) 539-1859. This program is suitable for families but children must be supervised by an adult caregiver.
