CONWAY — The Gibson Center for Senior Services in North Conway band Ossipee Concerned Citizens have been selected to participate in the Carroll County Food Access Network's Farm to Senior Pilot Project, an initiative led by UNH Cooperative Extension that will increase the use of locally grown foods in meals served to older adults throughout Carroll County.
Funded through a $7,500 grant from the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation's Rogers Family Trust Fund, the pilot project will help strengthen the local food system while improving access to fresh, nutritious foods for older adults. The Gibson Center and OCC will each receive funding to purchase locally sourced ingredients for use in community lunches and Meals on Wheels.
