Last week with the celebration of Easter, TV programs and newspapers were full of ads for new spring fashions, fancy foods, church services, candy and bunnies but for me, it brought one special thought to mind — my mother and clean windows. Our home in Boston was exactly four houses down from our parish church.

On Easter morning, there was an endless parade of well-dressed individuals walking by the house on their way to church. There simply was no way on God’s green earth that my mother would allow anyone to walk by our house on Easter and see dirty windows. I still miss my mom, but I don’t miss hanging out those second story windows. Hope you had a happy Easter.
