CONWAY — At their meeting on June 15, the Conway Public Library Board of Trustees voted to restore evening hours. The new hours for the library will be Mondays-Thursdays, 9 a.m.-8 p.m.; Fridays 9 a.m.-5 p.m. and Saturdays 9 a.m.-1 p.m. The library will now be open 56 hours per week, an increase from 48. As a response to the COVID pandemic, the trustees eliminated evening hours and with the pandemic abating locally have decided to restore those hours.
The trustees also voted to amend the meeting room policy by rescinding COVID rules specifically related to the meeting room. Trustees Chair Julie Laracy said, “We invite local groups to contact the library and reserve the meeting room. Finding meeting room space can be challenging and we are always happy to facilitate. We are pleased to be able to restore this library service to normal capacity.”
