FRYEBURG, Maine — Martin R. Aker, age 78, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 2, 2025, at the Bella Point Nursing Home. He was born June 1, 1947, in Arlington, Mass., the son of the late Robert and Florence (Lindell) Aker.

After completing high school, Martin joined the Army and served in Vietnam. He went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in Geology from Salem State University and worked for Gulf Oil and various other companies during his career.
