Douglas “Doug” Maxwell Mixer, 75, of Porter, Maine, passed away peacefully on March 27, 2025, at Memorial Hospital in North Conway, N.H., surrounded by his family.

Doug was born on May 4, 1949, in Wolfeboro, N.H., the eldest of four children of the late John and Orilla (MacLean) Mixer. Growing up in Tuftonboro and Wolfeboro, Doug attended local schools, including a then-new Kingswood High School, and graduated from North Yarmouth Academy in 1969.
