Mountain Top Music Center has initiated the Rosenblith Award, an annual award aimed at encouraging excellence in string students. Recipients of the award are chosen for demonstrating musical potential, a dedicated effort in developing that potential and for musical achievement. The award consists of $570 to be used toward tuition at Mountain Top Music Center. This year's winners are Kaitlin Kelly and Lydia Gill. Kelly is a junior at Kennett High School and has been studying violin with Chris Nourse for three years. She plans to major in music in college and has recently decided to focus on violin. She also plays flute and sings. Gill attends K.A. Brett School in Tamworth. Curran Mackie-Malcolm and Mallory Tinkham received honorable mention. Both are students of Sandy Hatch who have completed the first book in the Suzuki program repertoire.
