Mary A. (McLellan) Gurley, 43, of John Hodgin Road in Ossipee, passed away suddenly April 11, 2003 at Maine Medical Center in Portland. Mary was born Sept. 3, 1959 in Westover, Mass., the daughter of Lt. Col. James McLellan and Ann (Williams) McLellan. She had lived in Andover, where she graduated from Andover High School. For the past 14 years, Mary has lived in Ossipee and had worked as a secretary for Tenant Credit Reports of Wolfeboro. She is survived by her husband of 19 years, Fred Gurley Sr. or Ossipee; her children, Ellen Brown of Goffstown, Sherrie Gurley of Shelby, N.C., Tracy Gurley of Derry, Fred A. Gurley Jr. of Effingham, Michael Gurley of Ossipee, John Nadeau of Lawrence, Mass. and Brian Nadeau of Andover, Mass.; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is also survived by her father Lt. Col. James McLellan; two brothers, James McLellan of Burke, Va. and John McLellan of Brunswick, maine; a sister, Kathy Plunkett of Hollidaysberg, Pa.; and nieces and nephews. There will be no calling hours. Memorial services were held Monday, April 14 at Ossipee Valley Bible Church in West Ossipee. Lord Funeral Home of Center Ossipee assisted with the arrangements.
