The University of New Hampshire Cooperative Extension is offering a five-part "Making Money Work for You" series on Monday evenings from Jan. 23 to Feb. 20, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Ossipee Central School. This program is being co-sponsored with the Ossipee Central School after-school program, School's Out!Participants taking this five-week series will learn how to gain control over spending while developing a plan to achieve their financial goals, reduce expenses and reduce debt. Ann Hamilton, UNH Extension educator in family and consumer resources, will teach the series. This series meets the Financial Fitness requirement for the IDA program sponsored by the N.H. Community Loan Fund.If you are just starting out, or struggling paycheck to paycheck, or looking to manage debt and begin savings, you can't afford to miss this series. There is a $12 materials fee per person or couple. Scholarships are available. No one will be denied based on inability to pay. Registration, along with a check for $12 made payable to UNH Cooperative Extension, can be sent to MMWFY, UNH Cooperative Extension, P.O. Box 860, Center Ossipee, NH 03814.
