Lawrence G. Wright

Lawrence G. Wright

Surrounded by family, Larry Wright passed away peacefully on Sept. 22, 2013 in Wheat Ridge, Colo. after a brief illness. He was born in Charlestown and raised on the family farm until his teens when he moved with his mother to Pittsfield, Mass. He attended Williams College, pursuing his love for skiing and the great outdoors. His amazing skiing ability brought him the opportunity to ski for the U.S. Olympic Team, however his dreams were dashed by an accident on the race course when his back was broken. After the accident, he traveled with many U.S. and foreign ski teams preparing their skis for competition. His deep passion and knowledge of skiing techniques allowed him to travel and ski all over the country working in ski shops, opening a few of his own, and becoming well-known as a master ski mechanic.
