June Bray Reilly, 74, of Bedford and Naples, Fla., died Monday, June 5, 2006, at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Boston after a recent accident.Mrs. Reilly was born on June 11, 1931, in Lowell, Mass., the daughter of the late Samuel L. and Cecile (Nolet) Bray. She was a graduate of St. Joseph High School in Manchester, and furthered her education at Regis College in Newton, Mass., and the University of New Hampshire. She was a co-owner of Paper World in the '80s, a great philanthropist within the community, but was most proud and dedicated to being a mother and grandmother. She enjoyed reading, golf, traveling, tennis and skiing in her spare time. She has always been a very active and integral part in the communities she called home. She was a founder of the Derryfield School, a founding parishioner of Saint Elizabeth Seton Church, a founder of Bedford Bluffs, a Knight of the Holy Sepulchre, and served on the Bedford Historical District Commission. She was extremely committed to child welfare and was a board member of Child Health Services, a board member of Child and Family Services, a supporter of Moore Child Development Center, a child advocate through CASA, a counselor at Hillsboro State Prison for women and, for many summers, hosted children from the Fresh Air program in her home. Her charity extended into the community, volunteering for Saint Elizabeth Seton CCD program, the Girl Scouts and the Bedford PTA, and in the 1960s, she was on the Bedford High School Planning Committee. She was member of the Manchester Country Club, the Currier Art Gallery, Stonebridge Country Club, Naples, Fla., and the Naples Philharmonic Society of Naples, Fla.Mrs. Reilly was preceded in death by her husband, John Joseph Reilly Jr., in 2000, a sister, Marilyn Duffley, and her parents.Her family members include seven children, Robin Reilly Wagner and her husband, Leonard Y. Wagner, of Longmeadow, Mass., Cynthia Reilly Hauger of University Place, Wash., Jennifer John Reilly of Watertown, Mass., Allison Reilly-Dowe and her husband, Ian C. Dowe, of Andover, Mass., Kimberly Ann Reilly of Berkeley, Calif., Peter John Reilly and his wife, Jennifer O. Reilly, of Andover, Mass., and Mark John Reilly and his wife, Adelaide J. Reilly, of Stow, Mass. She had 15 grandchildren and one great-grandchild: Caitlin, Courtney, Molly and Griffin Wagner; Jeffery, Benjamin, Matthew, Colleen and Patrick Hauger; Brae Cabot; Maxwell, Samara and Quinne Dowe; John and Olivia Reilly; and her great-grandchild Niobe Hauger. Other family members include one sister, Nancy Filteau, and her husband, Roger, and one brother, Samuel L. Bray Jr.Calling hours will be on Thursday, June 8, from 4 to 7 p.m. at The Goodwin Funeral Home, 607 Chestnut Street, Manchester. The funeral liturgy will be at 1 p.m. on Friday, June 9, at The Abbey Church at St. Anselm College, 100 Saint Anselm Drive, Manchester. The Rev. Jonathan DeFelice will officiate.
