CONWAY — Four out of five people suffer with intermittent spine pain, most typically either low back or neck pain. In the United States, an estimated 149 million work days are lost each year due to back pain with a total cost of lost productivity between $100-200 billion per year. Studies have found that the first episode of back pain occurs at the highest rate in our 30s.

More U.S. health-care dollars are spent treating back and neck pain than almost any other medical condition and about 40 percent of treatment dollars are spent on manipulative medicine provided by osteopaths or chiropractors.
